GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Swarm (5-12) came up short against the Los Angeles D-Fenders (13-4) in a 92-99 loss Thursday night at the Fieldhouse. The Swarm held an eight-point lead going into halftime but the D-Fenders outscored Greensboro 60-45 in the second half to clinch the win. The game saw seven lead changes and 13 ties in the back and forth contest.
The Swarm were led by forward Christian Wood (22 points, eight rebounds) and guard Aaron Harrison (21 points, eight rebounds, five assists), both on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets. Swarm center Mike Tobey also chipped in 15 points and five boards off the bench. Overall the team had its best night cleaning the glass with 52 boards, a new season high.
The D-Fenders meanwhile were led by forward Vander Blue who recorded his first double-double of the season with 33 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Josh Magette (16 points, seven rebounds, seven assists) and forward Travis Wear (17 points, six rebounds) also notched double-figures for Los Angeles.
