AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Spurs (25-25), presented by SWBC, fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (29-21), 136-120, on Saturday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
Jeff Ledbetter paced the Spurs off the bench with 29 points (10-18 FG, 5-8 3FG, 4-4 FT) and 3 rebounds in 32 minutes, while Orlando Johnson recorded 25 points (9-13 FG, 1-2 3FG, 6-9 FT) and 7 rebounds in 32 minutes. Livio Jean-Charles contributed 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-1 FT) points and 4 rebounds in 29 minutes.
After being down by as many as 18 points in the first half, Austin was able to cut the deficit with a 9-2 run in the last two minutes, heading into the locker room down 11 (66-55). Austin continued their comeback campaign on another 9-2 run to open up the third quarter, cutting Sioux Falls’ lead down to two in the first three minutes.
The Skyforce were able to build up a commanding lead throughout the rest of the third, going up by as many as 19, ending the quarter up by 11 (102-91). In the last frame, Sioux Falls again matched their highest lead of the game, 19, to seal their win.
For the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Keith Benson posted a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds in 38 minutes, while Malik Beasley contributed 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in 32 minutes.
