No One Had More Fun on NBA All-Star Weekend Than Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Watch Thanasis Antetokounmpo perform on a basketball court, and you are guaranteed to see one thing: boundless energy.

He tries to block seemingly every shot that the opponent gets up, no matter how far he’s trailing a fast break. He flies in for dunks, dances, trash talks, hops up off the bench to pump up teammates and in general never does anything at less than 100 miles per hour.

That made Thanasis and NBA All-Star Weekend in New York City a recipe for nonstop entertainment, as the Antetokounmp-bro show hit the Big Apple and the international stage.

From dunks that simply blew his mind to a family jam session with Giannis, here’s All-Star through the eyes of the older “Greek Freak.”

Saturday Afternoon: NBA D-League All-Star Practice

At the New York Athletic Club in midtown Manhattan, he chatted with Seth Curry, who also had a brother participating in All-Star Saturday Night:

Saturday Night: The Sprite Slam Dunk Contest

By Saturday night, he was front and center at the Barclays Center in his Westchester warm-up shirt, adding some classic reaction shots to the NBA dunk contest archives.

Victor Oladipo’s spinning reverse was too much for Thanasis’ brain to handle:

Then he watched Zach LaVine defy gravity four times:

Giannis brought big brother into the action when it was his turn to fly:

Sunday Afternoon: The Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest

The next day, the Greek Freaks returned to Brooklyn and Thanasis re-created the Oladipo dunk that had blown his mind the night before:

He also brought Giannis out for an assist in another role reversal from Saturday night:

And the family photo album kept growing:
